Katie's been living on her own for four thrilling days. Sure enough, Katie called me last night, and asked me, all excited, what I thought she had in her coat! A dog? No. A cat? YES! And not only that, TWO cats! She had gone to the Humane Society, and is now the proud "mother" of two kittens. Katie has decided to spend her fund saved for furniture or emergencies, on the extra deposit to the manager, in order to be allowed cats, and cat food, and kitty litter for a year, and a hundred dollar saved amount in case of a vet bill. She has a couch, a bed, a lovely dresser with a big mirror, a table, one chair, and a prettty cupboard. She doesn't care about furniture. Her whole heart is in animals, as always. I went to bed happy, that my daughter got her heart's delight, and was able to choose what she really wanted to spend that money on. She's been saving it for an entire year, at my insistance, just so she would have the joy of choosing how to spend it.
She has met two lady friends already, at the laundry room. Their children came up to see her fish, and were interested.
She hasn't been in the sauna, hot tub, or exercise room yet, or played pool, or watched DVDs in the TV room. Every Saturday morning for two hours, this apartment complex serves free continental breakfasts. She expects to meet people there. She's such an outgoing, friendly person. Her whole world has opened up! We're all full of joy for her!
